Rome: Eldorado Films, 1987. Original treatment script for the 1987 film, "The Gold Rimmed Glasses," here under the working title, "The Gold-Rimmed Spectacles."
Based on Giorgio Bassani's 1958 novel, "Gli occhili d'oro." Dr. Fadigati (Noiret) is a homosexual doctor living in Fascist Italy, where he befriends a Jewish family.
Bassani also helped write the screenplay for Michelangelo Antonioni's 1953 film, "I vinti," as well as Luchino Visconti's 1954 film, "Senso."
Self titled wrappers, with a credit for writer Bassani on the front wrapper. Title page integral with front wrapper. 85 leaves, with last page of text numbered 82. Xerographically reproduced. Very Good plus, bound with string.
