N.p.: N.p., 1990. Vintage flyer for two San Francisco performances, one at Above Paradise (a short-lived venue above The Paradise Lounge) on Tuesday, February 27, 1990, and one at The Albion on Friday, March 2, 1990.
Singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Hannah Marcus located to San Francisco in the late 1980s after graduating college, where she credits seeing a performance by Mark Eitzel's American Music Club as being a primary influence. Marcus formed the band Half Idiot/Half Ocean in 1989, which ranged from a duet with drummer Josh Shifman, to a five piece band including guitarist John Maxwell, as found in the flyer offered here. In 1993 Marcus released her debut EP "Demeral," followed by her first full length release, "Weeds and Lilies," in 1995.
