Foster's song in type, followed by hand-lettered stanzas paired with a b&w illustration and ending with the verse and musical notation. The verse is written in black dialect and presents an idealized and innacurate relationship between slaves and their master in the American South. . Pictorial Boards. Good/No Jacket.
