Zattaís map of the northwest shows the influence of the 1752 Delisle/Buache Carte Des Nouvelles Decouvertes, including Da Fonteís elaborate system of inland seas and straits and a northwest passage. He shows Quivira and ëFou-Sangí, a colony the Chinese reputedly established on the norrthwest coast. The map is curiously decorated with illustrations of an elephant, ostrich and rhinoceros.
