Very Good/Very Good. 12mo, first edition; 385pp. In contemporary nineteenth century quarter leather over marbled boards (lightly worn), gilt lettered spine, four reaised spine bands between gilt rolls, internally clean and unmarked, complete with folding engraved map, two engraved plates and eight in-text woodcuts. Published as part of the Library of Entertaining Knowledge; volume two was subsequently issued separately. A very good example.
