Vol.1; xlviii,566pp,8pp ads; Vol.2; xxiv,622pp; Vol.3; xvi,374pp. Minor hole to prelim pages of volume one otherwise a clean tight set in contemporary brown calf bindings with ruled lines & numbering, and red title labels, all in gilt, to the spines. Hinges all professionally repaired. Blind stamped rope border to the boards. Edges a but rubbed and bumped but overall a very good set. Previous owners attractive armorial bookplate (Samuel Wells, Jun. of Huntingdon) to all of the front pastedown endpapers and neat hand written notes to the first 2 volume's front free endpapers. Overall a very god set.
