This is a very good book on the war between Christians and Cathlolics in the 1600s. You would have to be very stoic not to cry! It centers around one extended family who live in a hamlet called "Casella". A very hard book to put down after picking it up! This book has made it to my favorites list, though I would not recommend reading aloud to young children. A wonderful book on why to hold fast to the faith you love.
