A naval officer recounts his experiences commanding Navy PBR's on the Bassac River in 1967. Heel of spine no longer crisp, several very small nicks to front board. Dust jacket has light shelf wear, small chip missing to bottom edge of front panel near spine panel, very small stain to bottom edge of front flap.

Author served in the Blue Max, an aerial field artillery unit, 2nd Battalion, 20th Field Artillery, 1st Cavalry Division Airmobile) was shot down by a North Vietmanese SA-7 missile and lived to tell the story. Very small crease to upper corner of front cover, hence NF grade.

Black and red cloth boards, 507 pages, numerous maps and black and white photographs. Very good+ in VG+ dust jacket. Jacket has light wear to heel of spine, small nick and crease to top edge of front panel.

Dark blue paper covered boards, silver lettering on spine, xii, 312 pages, 12 pages of black and white photographs. Near fine in very good dust jacket . Jacket has a touch of wear to head of spine, creases and abrasion to heel, small closed tear to back panel near heel of spine, light wear to tips on bottom edge.

Light green cloth boards, 206 pages, numerous black and white photographs and sketches by author. Head and heel of spine lightly bumped, hence VG+ grade. Wrinkle to jacket at heel of spine also some fading to red lettering.

White cloth and paper boards. 324 pages. Very good+ in VG dust jacket. Head and heel of spine no longer crisp. Bit of wear along top edge of of jacket.
