Hardcover, although a reprint of the work, this is likely the first version in this highly decorative format. 471 pages plus adverts, including a fascinating piece on teaching the deaf to speak using "audiophones". Light shelfwear and some age toning of FFEP, all else quite good.

"Newly embellished" with many lively illustrations throughout. Beveled covers, top page edges gilt. Minor shelfwear. Some sunning of backstrip. Otherwise quite a wonderful copy.

East Aurora: Roycrofters, 1906. A superb edition published by Elbert Hubbard of the Roycrofters, bound in soft brown suede leather with decoration and gilt title on front. Also contains 2 sepia plates. Beautifully crafted as one would expect from the Roycrofters. First Edition. Leather. Fine.
