First edition thus, 12mo; xv, 556pp. In contemporary full speckled calf (a little worn with minor loss to extremities), spine divided by double gilt fillets into six compartments, gilt lettered black title label to second compartment, marbled endpapers, neat early ink ownership name to opening blank and title page, unobtrusive light spotting to opening and closing leaves, a clean and attractive copy of this abridged version of Pearson's popular exposition.

In original full vellum binding with early manuscript ink title to spine, woodcut device to title page (with lower blank margin neatly excised), lacks free endpapers, publisher's catalogue to rear leaf, an attractive example in its original binding of this very early Italian translation of Pemberton's digest of Newton's works.

A few quires towards front of the volume creased with occasional tears and loss to few pages; damp damage and tears to outer lower corner of final 30 leaves with loss of text; occasional light spots and browning, otherwise a sound copy of this finely printed, monumentally large lectern edition.
