Probable American First Edition. Original price crossed out on DJ flap but flap not clipped. Owner's name stamped on front flyleaf. Grey cloth boards stamped in blue with watermark along front bottom of cover (not visible with DJ on). A minor foxing on front title page, otherwise clean text. DJ covered in Brodart, a few chips on lower edge, otherwise very clean. A rare ghost story by popular author. A nobleman dead some 80 years returns to his castle where a British film crew is making the movie of his life.
