About This Item

Signed. First Edition. Laid in is a signed note from Greer Garson gifting the book. This book is about the Pecos National Monument, east of Santa Fe. The Monument had been largely the ranch of the actress, Greer Garson and her husband Col. E.E. 'Buddy' Fogelson. In the introduction the book is dedicated to the couple with biographies of each of them. Col. Fogelson died a year prior to the book's publication. The laid in note is on Ms. Garson's stationary and is addressed to John and Laura Roach. This couple were longtime friends and Mr. Roach was the attorney for the E. E. Fogelson and Greer Garson Fogelson Foundation. The note is signed "Much love, as always, Greer". Also laid in is an envelope with a negative of a photograph of Ms. Garson, in a gown, in front of a Christmas tree. The book has a bump on the bottom front corner, otherwise excellent. Listed as near fine. The dust jacket has shelf wear and edge wear across the top front. All corners are slightly bumped and there is a quarter inch tear in the middle of the top on the back. Jacket listed as very good -.

About mark mcdonald

Book collector for over 30 years. I'm retired and ready to sell. I buy almost exclusively from estate sales and since I've lived in Dallas my whole life, I know the people and where to go. I am a low volume collector and seller and deal in higher quality books. I have a lot of signed and inscribed books. These signatures have not been officially authenticated, but I am confident in their authenticity so I will guarantee them in perpetuity if it can be reasonably demonstrated that the signature is incorrect. .
