1935 First edition. No dust jacket. Red cloth with black wrap-around the spine. Spine has faded somewhat. Boards show minor wear along the bottom edge, top & bottom of spine and at the ends. Bottom spine is bumped. Name plate on inside cover with name. Name is also signed on first end page with date of 5/20/1935. Pages are tan but clean, not torn and the corners are not bent. Spine is undamaged. Not an ex-library book. No offensive odors. Nonsmoking. Ships in protective box with tracking confirmation.

First Edition 1908. Reprinted 1912. Previous owner put a book cover over book. The back part of the book cover came off showing the boards. I was unable to remove the front part of the book cover without fear of harming the book. Boards are maroon. Spine has come away from the book. Back board is coming away from the book. book lays flat when opened. Pages are clean, not torn and the corners are not bent. Nonsmoking. Proceeds from the sale of this book assist our local library. 1899, Second Edition copy. No dust cover. Former library books. Boards are black cloth with gilt lettering. Two books: Volumes 1 & 2. V.1 and V. 2 are written on the spine in white. The original gilt lettering of "Mark Twain" on the spine has been blacked out, and "Clemens" has been written in its place in white, most likely by a librarian. (see photos). Some minor wear on the ends and the top & bottom of spine. Bottom of spine is bumped on both. 0.2mm tear to spine on V.2. Otherwise, boards are in very good condition. Top of pages are tipped in gilt, sides and bottom are deckle. Book plate of previous owner in both books. The usual library stickers and card holders are on the inside cover and first end page. No stickers on outside of book. On V. 1, someone cut out the library bar code from the top of the first end page. (see photo). 1873 Hardbound leather with 2 clasps in good working condition. No evidence of previous ownership. Title and decorative art are in Gilt. Moderate wear along the edges, and top & bottom of spine. Back, lower edge of leather is torn. All page edges are in gilt. End papers look like they have been reinforced to the spine with green repair tape. Pages are clean, not torn and the corners are not folded. Sewn-in brown satin ribbon is in very good condition. Place holders for family pictures at the back of the book, which are empty. A Beautiful copy! Copyright 1933/1949. Limited Editions Club. Green slip case has some wear and has been reinforced in some places with tape. Shows minor soiling on the end. Boards are in very good condition with the exception of the front board starting to break away from the book. Spine of book shows minor discoloration. The cover is in very good condition. It has been kept in the slip cover and the only wear is on the corners of the book. The inside pages are pristine--clean, not torn and the corners are not bent. No writing or highlighting. No names.
