Marbled end pages. Pages are rough cut. Some wear to edges, spines are sun faded with some small tears. Pages are clean and unmarked. Bindings are loose but intact, save volume one which has a broken binding. Volumes 5, 7, and 8 have more wear to the boards or spines than the others. Volume 12’s front cover is partially sun faded. Three quarter red leather bindings with red morocco paper covered boards. The gilt lettering and decoration on the spine and covers is fully intact. The edges are gilded all the way around and the endpapers are marbled. There is some staining and wear to the covers/spines, but the pages are clean and unmarked with slight yellowing. Each front end paper is stamped with a previous owner's name. 20 engravings on steel per volume, plus engravings on wood on most pages. Around 450-500 pages per volume. Shelf 1

Pages are yellowed but unmarked save the front endpages, which have two previous owners' addresses, one crossed out. The Preface reads: "Near the headwaters of the beautiful Chesapeake Bay in My Maryland stands "Beech-Holm," the scene of the true incident related in this simple story. The illustrations are reproductions of recent photographs of the house and surroundings." Shelf 2

Covers have some shelfwear, especially to edges and leather. Spines have little to no fading, but are worn and some may have cracks. Covers are detached from some volumes. Top edge gilt, others rough cut. Endpapers are marbled to match covers. Interiors are clean and completely unmarked with surprisingly little yellowing for the age. Gilt lettering and decoration to spines, which are very sunfaded to a light brown. Some sun fading also to the back covers of volumes I and II. Marbled edges and fully illustrated endpapers. Pages are clean and unmarked save minimal yellowing and ex-library stamps to each front endpaper. Volume I also has the previous owner's signature. The spine of Volume I is cracked along the front cover. Each volume includes halftones, color plates, and etchings, as well as fold out maps. "A Compilation of Work-Related Experiences from the Machine Shop to the Board Room. (Bored Room?)" edited by Joan Jobe Smith. Stapled paper wraps with the sheets folded in the middle. Pages extrude slightly from the covers. Appears to have been bound that way. Contains illustrations and a center fold-out by Wayne Hogan. This collection appears to have been distributed by request. Tucked into the pages is a letter from Michael Estabrook to the previous owners thanking them for their order and a sheet of outtake poems. In the letter, Estabrook writes: "As far as other stuff Rose Bank Press publishes, it's just poetry I write & usually in cahoots with other poets". Poetry section of store
