Signed Association Copy direct from Mrs. Vidal's estate. New York : Random House, 1976. Stated First Edition. 2nd printing. VG cloth copy in a VG+, slightly sunned, non-price-clipped dust-wrapper. Front board a bit bowed. 364 pages; Octavo, original cloth. Association copy, inscribed by the author,"Kit, all love to my step mother." The recipient, Katherine "Kit" Vidal was Eugene Vidal's second wife; he married her in 1939 when she was a 20 year old model with the Powers Agency, only six years older than Gore. The elder Mr. Gore was a multimillionaire, who bought — and sold — a seat twice on the New York Stock Exchange, before devoting himself to collecting Chinese art and antiquities. This was in Regis' personal library and was purchased directly from the estate. A very personal inscription to Joy mentioning their daughter JJ. The author was one of JJ's professors. JJ went on to become a screenwriter for Saturday Night Live, the OC, and later an executive producer on shows like Coupling and Heroes.

The book itself is housed in a custom black silkscreen slipcase with inset images printed separately, pressed, and attached to the case. The book sports a striking new jacket.
