About This Item
New York: Edinburgh Fraternity, no date (ca. 1909). Limited edition, one of 1000 sets, complete in six octavo volumes (8.25" x 5.75"), variously paginated, profusely illustrated including frontis in color in each volume. Publisher's maroon cloth with printed paper labels on the spines.
Bindings very slightly soiled, shallow loss & fraying at the top of the spine on volume six, spine labels a bit toned & foxed, couple of hinges starting to crack (still secure), a good or better set.
A nice set of Burns who is widely regarded as the national poet of Scotland, enhanced by numerous illustrations & printed music.
